How do you choose the shipping method?

Choose using urgency, actual and volumetric weight, cargo volume, product restrictions, route reliability, document requirements and the total landed cost—not freight price alone.

When is air freight suitable?

Air is generally considered for urgent, smaller or higher-value cargo. Chargeable weight may be based on actual or volumetric weight. Batteries, liquids, powders, magnets and branded goods can require special handling or acceptance checks.

When is a sea-linked route suitable?

Larger, heavier and less urgent shipments may benefit from container or consolidated sea-linked transport. Nepal is landlocked, so the plan can include seaport handling, transit arrangements and inland movement before arrival in Nepal.

What information is needed for a reliable quotation?

  • Product name, material and intended use
  • Total cartons or packages
  • Gross weight and dimensions of every package type
  • Total volume in cubic metres
  • Pickup city in China and Nepal destination
  • Battery, liquid, powder, chemical, branded or controlled-goods status
  • Required collection and delivery dates

What costs should be compared?

Compare pickup, consolidation, export handling, international freight, documentation, terminal or destination handling, customs-related costs and final delivery. Also consider storage or delay risk and whether the quote excludes important local charges.

What should be checked before dispatch?

Confirm carton strength and marks, final packing list, invoice, gross weight, dimensions, labels, restricted-goods declarations, consignee details and the agreed transport document. Do not wait until cargo arrival to prepare clearance documents.
